We have been monitoring water temperatures in the Wye at Monmouth daily during this hot spell of weather. Today, Tuesday, July 7th, water temperatures in the Wye are at critical levels 24.5 deg C, and rising and water levels falling. This trend looks to be continuing over the next two weeks until we get some cooler weather. Although other parameters have been good until now, we must now close our rivers to fishing util furteher notice.
