We are closing our rivers to fishing from now until further notice.

Today, the water temperature in the lower Wye exceeded 26 degrees C. This is above the critical level for the fish’s welfare. The temperature in the Monnow was even higher. We have to inform our members that there will be no fishing in our rivers until the conditions improve substantially.

Regretably, there will probably be more occasions as global warming continues to affect our weather.
