We are aware that the new fencing along the bank top in the lower two meadows is an obstruction to Anglers.
It is a legal requirement for farmers to prevent livestock from destabilizing the banks and causing soil and silt to enter the river or stream. We cannot prevent or object the farmer doing this although, as owners of the fishing rights, M & D A S must be allowed to have access to the water.
We are aware of this and is receiving our attention now and will be discussed at our next committee meeting on Tuesday 8th August.
