Once again, we must remind our members that coarse fishing in Dukes Water is NOT permitted during the salmon season, which runs from March 3rd until November 17th. This weekend, at least two course anglers, one a M & D A S member, were seen fishing in Duke’s water. When confronted by the bailiff, one angler became somewhat aggressive. This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated and could easily lead to dismissal from our society.
We do not own the fishing rights here, and transgression of the rules might lead to our losing the concession to fish here altogether.
