The riparian owners of our upper and lower Wye waters, Hadnock Road and Dukes Water, have agreed to our members being accompanied by their dogs as long as they are kept under control and well-behaved. We are reminded that if any dogs are reported causing a nuisance, this permission might be rescinded.
The owners of Treowen estate have complained to us about a member who was fishing whilst his dog was running around uncontrolled in a field containing livestock.
With immediate effect, (25th May 2023) in future, our members are not allowed to take their dogs with them.
We are reminded that dogs posing a threat to livestock might be shot by the farmer.
