It’s official. We can now fish in Wales. But not everyone.

It has been announced that people who live in Wales can now resume fishing in Wales but only to fish locally and if this is part of your local exercise.

Don’t ask me what the definition of ‘locally’ is or if fishing falls within the definition of exercise. Look for clarification from Welsh government, police and NRW and you won’t find any. consensus of opinion.  All they agree on is that if you live in England you must NOT travel to Wales for your exercise or fishing.

NB. These are Welsh government rules.  NOT M and D A S rules.  As far as we are concerned our still waters are open, subject to the what ever restrictions apply.

Don’t forget that the 4 persons rule and annual membership (no day tickets), only still applies on our lakes.

Enjoy.
