An early spring 2017 fish just 6lb.
A late August fish 2017. 5.3lbs. Look at the size of that paddle. No wonder it could pull so hard for so long. Hooked it in one swim and landed in the next.
Another late August 2017 fish caught on corn during the evening. Warm and overcast with the smell of new mown hay on the air. Perfect.
Such tail deformation is not at all uncommon on tench in this lake and it appears to be mainly on the larger, older fish so it’s unlikely they are injuries. Three fish here are affected.
